We are seeking a IT Operations Solution Architecture Expert Location: Würzburg Application deadline: April 14, 2026 Employment: Full-time (Part-time is generally possible) Start date: Immediately Job posting number:Compensation: E13 TV EntgO-DRV (senior civil service) Scope of duties The DRV-IT DSRV & Services department coordinates the IT operations of the German Pension Insurance (DRV), operates the Pension Insurance Data Center (DSRV), and provides a wide range of services for all DRV agencies. The “IT Operations” division at the Würzburg location operates and monitors the entire IT infrastructure and all IT processes of the Pension Insurance Data Center (DSRV), as well as central services for all pension insurance agencies. Furthermore, we ensure data exchange with social security agencies both domestically and abroad. The team supports all managers, teams, and employees in IT Operations with key tasks, such as solution architectures in IT Operations and the coordination of system failures. Your Responsibilities Designing, planning, and further developing the solution architecture in IT operations Developing concepts for architecture, security, and administration requirements Conducting compliance checks and risk assessments regarding the operational architecture Maintaining the IT operations product and service catalog Leading and conducting workshops and training sessions Representing IT operations in the pension insurance architecture committees Your Profile You hold a college degree (Bachelor’s, University of Applied Sciences diploma) in IT, or have completed vocational training in IT, or possess an equivalent qualification (e.g., an IT-specific certification), or have comparable practical experience in the IT field In addition, you have several years of current, relevant professional experience in solution architecture within IT operations (e.g., TOGAF and COBIT) as well as Up-to-date knowledge of IT operations (IT infrastructure and network topology) Furthermore, knowledge or experience in coordinating and managing workflows and monitoring work results is required We require business-fluent German skills (C1 level or higher) in both written and spoken communication We also welcome expertise in the field of security infrastructure You are characterized by an analytical, self-organized, and structured way of thinking and working Strong communication skills, empathy, and a focus on solutions and processes perfectly round out your profile for us We offer An interesting and varied role with all the benefits of a large public-sector employer A structured onboarding process and extensive opportunities for continuing education and professional development Family-friendly, flexible, and service-oriented work schedules, complemented by our support services and partner organizations to help balance work and family life (for parents and caregivers) Active involvement in shaping the new IT environment for pension insurance The health of our employees is important to us.
