IT Project Coordinator (f/m/d) with Focus on Educational and Administrative AI Technologies – 3‑year fixed‑term

The Center for IT and Media Management (ZIM) at the University of Potsdam invites applications for a 3‑year fixed‑term position for an IT Project Coordinator with a focus on educational and administrative AI technologies.

Position details: 40 hours per week (100 %), classified within remuneration group 13 of the collective wage agreement for the public service of the German federal states (TV‑L).

Scope of Your Responsibilities

• Project organization: coordinate the overall project in close consultation with ZIM management, refine the project plan, prepare and facilitate project meetings, engage stakeholders, and prepare project reports.
• Technical design and evaluation: develop pilot scenarios for AI technologies in teaching, study, and administration, conduct requirement analysis, technical‑didactic design, and pilot implementation.
• Design workshops: create hands‑on workshops on opportunities and limits of AI, develop best‑practice scenarios, identify success factors, and consult teaching staff and administrative employees on implementation options, including legal and ethical aspects.

Qualifications

• Completed academic university degree (Diploma, Master’s, Magister, or equivalent), preferably in computer science, educational, social, or administrative sciences.
• Understanding of fundamental AI and ML concepts and techniques.
• Knowledge of AI application areas such as NLP and NLG.

Competences

• Experience in academic higher‑education projects (e.g., BMFTR, DFG, STIHL).
• Knowledge of programming languages and no‑code environments (Python, R, Azure AI Studio, RapidMiner, Dataiku).
• Methodological and statistical skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• German proficiency A2, English proficiency B2.
