Become an IT Service Technician System Administrator (m/f/d), in Cologne! As an IT Service Technician System Administrator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of our sophisticated hardware and software solutions as well as virtual platforms – both in the office and directly at the customer’s premises. You will ensure that the work is documented and take on troubleshooting and maintenance appointments on site.

Responsibilities

Implementation of 2nd level support in direct customer contact
Carrying out functional and performance tests
Fault diagnosis/analysis and troubleshooting for hardware, software and network components; also virtualized
Technical support for our customer on site
Working on solutions in the field of telecommunications monitoring in high-security data centers
Provide ideas for our development department from your work experience
Responsibility for the reference and test systems used
Documentation of faults, solutions and IT processes
Participation in the on-call service
Factory and on-site acceptance of systems
Completed studies (e.g. computer science, electrical engineering) or equivalent technical training and relevant professional experience in service
Sound knowledge and confidence in dealing with Unix-based operating systems, e.g. Red Hat, Rocky Linux, CentOS, AIX
Sound knowledge of network technology, network storage, network security and network protocol analysis
Sound knowledge of standardized transmission technologies and protocols in modern telecommunications and data networks
Windows Server 2019 or newer - (an advantage)
Knowledge of PVE, VMWare and/or Citrix (an advantage)
Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or Oracle) desirable
Customer and service-oriented action
Structured, careful and independent work
Willingness to undergo continuous further training
Very good written and spoken German and English skills
Class B driver's license
Flexibility and willingness to travel
