IT Systems & Network Engineer – Germany | Airbus Projects

Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) is looking for IT Systems & Network Engineers to join our on‑site teams in Germany, working directly on Airbus IT, cybersecurity and infrastructure projects .

Locations include Hamburg region, Bavaria and other sites across the country.

What You Will Do

• Administer and support Windows/Linux systems, networks and Airbus on‑prem infrastructures.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, routing, switching and cybersecurity controls.
• Support the implementation of Airbus and BSI/CERT security standards.
• Participate in DevOps‑related tasks (automation, deployments, CI/CD support).
• Automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Collaborate with Airbus teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting and documentation for operational environments.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar.
• Experience in systems and network administration.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals (Airbus/BSI guidelines are a plus).
• Exposure to DevOps tools or automation.
• Experience with monitoring tools.
• Willingness to work in rotating schedules and occasional travel.
• C1 English mandatory.
• German C1 (a plus).
• Applicants must hold EU citizenship.
