The role

We are looking for a Junior Category Manager (m/f/d) with a focus on data-driven product optimization and development, pricing, and structured product data management. You have a strong analytical mindset, love working with numbers, and want to work in an exciting, dynamic industry in a data-driven way - without needing deep product-specific expertise?

Your Responsibilities

Analysis & Optimization of Formulations

• Evaluate and adjust formulations based on raw material cost, availability, and nutritional data

Pricing & Tracking

• Create and maintain pricing calculations
• Monitor price developments and margins

Product Data Management in PIM Systems

• Maintain, structure, and ensure the quality of product data
• Ensure consistent and clean datasets

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Identify optimization potential based on data
• Prepare analyses and decision‑making materials

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in managing new product development projects.
• Experience from managing export processes.
• Pet food industry experience is not required, but familiarity with FMCG or perishable goods is a plus.

Your Profile

• Completed degree - preferably in an analytical field (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Data Science, or similar)
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• High affinity for data and numbers
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with AI tools (e.g., Claude)
• Structured, precise, and independent working style
• Initial relevant experience (e.g., in consulting, Big 4) is a plus
