Junior Compliance Manager (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the regular updating and adaptation of IT compliance policies and handbooks (data protection, information security) in accordance with current laws, regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise and monitor various departments to ensure effective implementation of IT compliance requirements and enforce internal policies and company values (internal audit).
  • Support creation of contract amendments within the framework of order processing.
  • Conduct data protection and compliance audits; participate in internal or external audit activities (e.g., service provider audits: Pooled Audit PS 951, ISO 27001 audits, self‑assessments, PCI DSS scans).
  • Coordinate and conduct training and workshops to raise awareness on IT compliance issues.
  • Prevention and handling of potential data protection violations.
  • Plan and implement measures to improve awareness regarding data protection and information security (e.g., phishing simulations, awareness days).

Qualifications

  • Graduated study in computer science, business informatics, economics or a comparable field with first professional experience.
  • Initial experience in a company’s data protection organization (e.g., data protection officer, coordinator) or in a control/oversight position with a focus on data protection is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of industry‑relevant legal provisions and standards (especially EU‑GDPR, BDSG, DORA, EU‑AI Act).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex data protection concepts and requirements.
  • Analytical skills to identify and assess data protection risks.
  • Fluency in German (minimum C1) and very good English in written and spoken form.
