Junior Equities Trader (f/m/x)

Position Overview

Within the Investment Banking division at Deutsche Bank, we are seeking a Junior Equity Trader to join our Germany Cash Equities Trading team. This role is suited to an early‑career trader with some practical exposure to German and / or Pan‑European cash equities, who is looking to develop strong execution skills and deepen market expertise within a fast‑paced trading environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

• You will support the execution of client orders in German large‑ and mid‑cap equities, under the supervision of senior traders
• You will monitor market conditions, liquidity, and price action across large‑ and mid‑cap names and across German and / or Pan-European markets
• You will assist with order management, trade monitoring, and post‑trade checks to ensure accuracy and control
• You will develop understanding of European equity market structure, including Xetra, MTFs, and auctions
• You will work closely with Sales, Sales Trading, and senior traders to provide execution support and market feedback
• You will operate in line with risk, regulatory, and control frameworks, escalating issues as appropriate

Your Skills And Experiences

• Proven experience as an Equity Trader with hands‑on responsibility for German and / or Pan-European cash equities
• Strong, current understanding of large‑and mid‑cap market dynamics, liquidity patterns, and investor behaviour
• Knowledge of European equity market structure, execution venues, and order types
• Sound execution judgement under pressure, including timing, sizing, and venue selection in fast‑moving markets
• Experience partnering closely with institutional clients, sales, and portfolio managers
• High standards of discipline, risk awareness, attention to detail, and familiarity with electronic trading platforms (e.g. Fidessa or equivalent)
• Fluent English and German
