Junior Operations Manager

Overview

pawaTech is looking for a Junior Operations Manager to join our Compliance team, with a strong focus on project coordination, process improvement and automation, internal and external communication. In this role, you will work across teams to coordinate initiatives, improve operational processes, and support the delivery of projects, while operating in a compliance-driven environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting compliance operations, including process improvements, automation initiatives, and project coordination;
• Collaborating with Product, Marketing, and CSR teams on compliance-related operational topics;
• Managing operational and compliance-related documentation and internal knowledge management;
• Identifying operational needs and pain points with stakeholders and contributing to solution design;
• Designing and implementing automation and/ or AI-based solutions to improve efficiency and delivery timelines;
• Working with tools such as Google Sheets, Make, and other AI tools to automate workflows;
• Coordinating smaller internal projects and supporting cross-team initiatives;
• Monitoring new tools, technologies, and trends relevant to operations and automation.

What makes you a great candidate

• 2+ years of experience in a tech company or startup, in operations or project-related roles;
• Hands-on experience with Google Sheets, low-code/ no-code tools such as Make, Zapier, or similar automation platforms;
• Understanding of software development cycles;
• Experience with project coordination or entry-level project management;
• Ability to translate operational needs into clear requirements and practical solutions;
• Curious and solution-oriented mindset, comfortable investigating new topics and connecting information into actionable outcomes;
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise effectively using the 80/20 principle;
• Team-oriented and thoughtful communicator.
• Experience working in compliance-driven or regulated environments;
• Familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering in tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini;
• Experience with process documentation, optimisation, or automation initiatives;
• Exposure to tools such as Slack, Jira, or similar collaboration and project management platforms;
• Interest in new technologies, tools, and trends related to operations and automation.
