Your responsibilities and tasks

Are you excited by complex challenges, strategic thinking, and making a measurable impact on global operations? Join Nutrition Plant Engineering (NPE) as a (Junior) Strategy & Operations Consultant (f/m/d) and help shape the future of our global manufacturing footprint.

This role is designed as an internal consulting position at the heart of Operations Strategy & Execution. Reporting directly to the Vice President Operations Strategy & Execution, you will work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and finance — bringing structure to complexity, clarity to decision‑making, and transparency to performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Structure complex strategic, operational, and financial questions into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and work‑plans.
  • Support CFO‑relevant topics such as cost transparency, performance drivers, investment prioritization, and business case development.
  • Prepare structured analyses and decision proposals for senior management.
  • Support divisional strategy, operational transformation, localization, and performance management initiatives.
  • Contribute to the design of governance models, steering routines, KPIs, and reporting structures.
  • Support coordination and tracking of strategic initiatives across functions and regions.
  • Take ownership of clearly defined analytical or conceptual workstreams within larger projects.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional inputs and synthesize results into coherent management narratives.
  • Prepare and support workshops, interviews, and alignment sessions with senior stakeholders.

Your profile and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Management, Economics, or related field.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, finance, operations, or project‑based analytical roles.
  • Strong experience in problem structuring, business case development, and management presentations.
  • First exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or operational environments is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Strong structuring and storytelling ability for senior management audiences.
  • Confident handling of data, KPIs, and financial logic.
  • High learning agility and ability to work in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., German) are beneficial.

You will receive an E‑Mail when your application has been processed. One of our Talent Acquisition Specialists will review and verify that the applicant meets the qualifications criteria.
