Junior System Administrator (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Junior System Administrator (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

Purpose of the role:
As a Junior System Administrator, you will support our IT infrastructure both internally and in customer projects. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving our systems and services and contribute to the successful implementation of our IT strategy.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Server and network administration: Includes the maintenance and administration of Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, permissions, network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, WLAN, as well as the management of HyperV clusters and network security, including firewall, email archiving, and mobile device management.
• Data management and security: Includes support for databases and email servers (Exchange, SQL Server), IT security measures such as backups and endpoint protection, management of cloud solutions and cloud backups, and ensuring data integrity through SSL/S/MIME certificates.
• Containerization and virtualization: Focuses on the administration and expansion of Docker and Kubernetes container services, the management of HyperV and Azure instances, including virtual desktops and server instances under Windows and Linux.
• Communication and collaboration tools: Includes managing IP telephony, Microsoft 365 Business Standard/Enterprise accounts, migrating on-premise solutions to cloud services, as well as user administration in GitHub and using Jira for ITIL processes. Support, consulting, and project management: Includes providing IT support for internal employees and external customers, advising sales on larger projects, developing new services, installing and preparing customer systems, and involvement in the planning and implementation of IT migration projects.

Qualifications and experience

• Experience in managing Windows Server environments, network infrastructures, and IT security
• Knowledge of the technologies and systems mentioned is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Curious and eager to experiment
• Friendly and open in dealing with colleagues and customers
