The Knowledge Management Engineer (KME) supports U.S. European Command’s (EUCOM) Knowledge Management team in delivering innovative, user-centered solutions that improve efficiency and decision-making, enhance information sharing, and streamline business processes. KME will be familiar with the psychology behind user interviews and can systematically capture and organize user insights through rigorous qualitative research methodologies and structured interview techniques. The KME applies technical expertise, customer engagement, and design thinking to develop and sustain enterprise KM tools and practices across multiple classification levels.
KMEs work as a team to collaborate with USEUCOM staff to capture requirements, define use cases, and translate operational needs into solutions. They map processes, gather data, and analyze operations to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements. Applying Lean, Agile, and design thinking methodologies to standardize KM best practices across directorates, KMEs aim to improve efficiencies across the staff. You will also develop and deliver training, workshops, and user guides to drive adoption of KM tools. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and action officers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing. KMEs design, implement, and improve KM platforms and digital workflows to support EUCOM mission requirements. Developing SharePoint Online sites, lists, forms, permissions, and customizations; manage daily operations as Site Collection Administrators. You will be expected to build and sustain Power Platform applications, automated workflows, and Power BI dashboards to capture knowledge and enable data-driven decisions. Integrate KM solutions with enterprise IT services while ensuring compliance with DoD data governance and cybersecurity standards. Maintain system documentation, process roadmaps, and lifecycle sustainment plans.
