Lead Java Engineer (f/m/x) – Autobahn Platform

Position Overview

Lead Backend Engineer (f/m/x) responsible for the development of the Autobahn Platform backend services in the Deutsche Bank Technology Berlin team. You will work with a global team to deliver services that power more than 200,000 internal and external users across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services for the Autobahn platform using Java/Kotlin
• Participate in the full development cycle, from design to deployment
• Collaborate with QA, BA, and other development teams on functional and non‑functional requirements
• Work with the UX team on interface definition and new feature development
• Adhere to the platform’s architectural vision, security, and regulatory requirements
• Operate in an Agile delivery model across multiple languages and technologies (JS/React, Kotlin/Java, Swift, .NET)

Qualifications & Skills

• Excellent experience with Java/Kotlin backend development
• Deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Strong understanding of the Java ecosystem
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
