Lead Medical Affairs Statistician (all genders)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You manage statistical activities for designing, planning, and conducting analyses for observational studies, clinical studies (phase IV), epidemiology studies, and analyses of existing databases
- You lead statistical cross-functional teams to generate publications, presentations, and posters in collaboration with Medical Affairs
- You provide scientific appraisal of study protocols and study proposals
- You offer statistical and methodological consultation and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams within or across companies
- You keep abreast of regulatory and methodological issues and ensure their implementation in the respective teams
- You oversee and ensure accurate and timely delivery of statistical work outsourced to external providers
- You influence decision-making processes during life-cycle management by using appropriate statistical methodologies such as simulation and modeling approaches
- You develop and implement innovative statistical methodologies for your field of responsibility, if appropriate, in cooperation with academic experts
WHO YOU ARE
- You hold a PhD or MS in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative area
- You have several years of professional experience as a statistician with significant time spent in Pharma, Biotech, or similar sector
- You possess thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including an understanding of the clinical drug development process and/or life-cycle management and associated documents and regulations
- You have experience in leading teams
- You exhibit excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- You have good knowledge of statistical programming languages, including SAS and/or R
- You are fluent in English, written and spoken
