Line-Haul Transportation Specialist

Role Overview

In this role, you will support our line-haul operations from the central sorting hub to key stations across Western Germany, primarily covering North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and surrounding regions. You should understand line-haul fundamentals and ideally have experience working with (or access to) line-haul trucking companies and networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and optimize line-haul transportation planning from the central hub to regional stations (NRW + surrounding areas)
• Coordinate with line-haul trucking partners and ensure capacity, routing, and scheduling alignment
• Monitor operational performance (on-time dispatch/arrival, exceptions) and support issue resolution
• Align with internal sorting/station teams to ensure smooth handovers and operational continuity
• Support partner onboarding and process improvement for scalable operations

Requirements

• Junior to mid-level experience in logistics/transportation (parcel, freight, or similar operators preferred)
• Hands-on experience or strong knowledge of line-haul operations (essential)
• Familiarity with trucking networks/transport providers in Germany is a plus
• Language: Fluent German (spoken and written) and Chinese will be a big plus (Reason: frequent coordination with internal stakeholders and partner communication in these languages)
• Strong coordination skills and ability to work in a fast-moving operations and Multicultural environment
• Project-based / consulting engagement initially, with the possibility to transition into a permanent in-house role based on performance and business needs
• On-site with hybrid setup (physical presence is important due to operational requirements)
