Linux Administrator (m/f/d)

With 13 locations, three central warehouses, and around 950 employees, the Behrens Group is one of Germany's leading timber wholesalers. The company specializes in trading timber construction products, doors, and floor coverings. In addition to trading, a fully automated furniture component production facility and a semi-automated production facility for timber frame construction elements complete the range of services offered to customers. As the link between software development and operations, we are currently looking to strengthen our existing team in Rotenburg (Wümme) with the following position: Linux Administrator (m/f/d) Your tasks: Support, maintenance, and further development of our existing Linux server landscape (mainly Debian-based) Ensuring the smooth operation of web and database services (Apache, Nginx, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Automation of deployments and system configurations
• Update and patch management as well as system monitoring
• Co-design and implementation of infrastructure projects (CI/CD, cloud integration, security, scaling)

• Completed training in the IT field or a comparable qualification
• In-depth knowledge of Linux system administration (ideally Debian)
• Experience with web servers (Apache, Nginx) and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with container technologies (Docker)
• Knowledge of deployment and update management, ideally automated
• Confident use of version control (GitLab)
• Experience with modern infrastructure tools such as Terraform and Keycloak desirable
• Team-oriented, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Interest in new technologies and the further development of existing processes
• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a high degree of precision
