Overview

Logistics & Customs Operations Associate (EP Cube), Europe (m/w/d) – join to apply for the role at Canadian Solar Inc.

About Us

Canadian Solar (NASDAQ: CSIQ) was founded in 2001 and made its debut on the NASDAQ in 2006. Over the past two decades, Canadian Solar has become a global leader in solar energy and energy storage solutions. We have also ventured into the development of large-scale solar power plants and battery storage projects worldwide. As of the end of June, our presence spans across more than 30 countries, with a dedicated workforce exceeding 20,000 employees. In 2021, Canadian Solar invested in Eternalplanet Co., Ltd, a company focused on research and manufacturing of integrated solutions for residential renewable energy management. In 2022, we introduced our first residential energy storage system, EP Cube, a flexible all-in-one solution designed to assist individuals in efficiently managing solar power generation, residential energy storage, and electricity usage. Our goal is to reduce electricity costs and minimize carbon footprints.

Main Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day logistics execution for EP Cube across Europe: track and communicate ETAs, manage end-to-end customs clearance with brokers/agents, run inbound/outbound processing and delivery documentation in ERP/CRM, and operate the warehouse/3PL to target.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy (including cycle counts and stock takes) and manage replacement stock.
  • Optimize freight and warehousing costs through disciplined carrier/3PL negotiations (FTL/LTL) and performance management.
  • Deliver cross-functional alignment with in-house teams on schedules, allocations, order fulfilment and logistics status.
  • Report on performance and pursue continuous improvement: publish dashboards, conduct root-cause analyses and implement preventive actions.

Key Outcomes

  • Accurate, live ETA tracking with proactive internal updates; minimal surprises.
  • On-time customs clearance with first-time-right submissions; zero avoidable delays; minimized demurrage/detention.
  • Inbound and outbound performance; complete delivery documentation.
  • Inventory accuracy ≥ 99% (cycle counts/stock takes) and timely variance reconciliation.
  • Replacement stock available and processed within SLA; closed-loop RMA/returns handling.
  • Year-over-year reduction in warehouse and transport costs; optimized FTL/LTL mix.

Competencies

  • Cost-driven and performance-oriented; strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Detail-focused with excellent follow-through; disciplined in SOPs and documentation control.
  • Clear communicator and negotiator with carriers/3PLs and internal teams.
  • Analytical mindset; comfortable with KPIs and continuous improvement.

Languages

  • English is a must - professional fluency for operations, documentation, and carrier/broker communication.
  • Other languages are a plus (e.g., German, Italian, Spanish, or Chinese).

Location

  • Munich (DE) or Northern Italy (IT) or in the Netherlands (close to local warehouses).

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in logistics/warehousing/3PL operations with hands-on customs and EU import experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, HS classification, and import requirements; broker/agent coordination.
  • Proven ERP experience (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, NetSuite); WMS experience preferred; proficient in Excel (lookups, pivots).
  • Demonstrated vendor management and negotiation skills for carriers and warehouses (FTL/LTL, pallet space).
  • Understanding of safety/compliance in warehouse operations; experience with RMAs/replacement stock handling.

What We Offer

  • A modern work environment with a positive culture, growth opportunities, and diverse teams.
  • Attractive salary package and benefits including options like jobrad and childcare subsidies.
  • Hybrid work model, flexible hours, and 28 vacation days with additional days off for special occasions.
  • Professional development programs, training, and workshops.
  • Opportunity to influence how we work and contribute ideas to shape the future of the company.
  • Sustainability initiatives including zero-waste office, recycling, and community efforts.
