Logistics Operations Specialist - Robots (w/m/d)

Overview

We are currently looking for a Logistics Operations Specialist - Robots (w/m/d) to join our Munich team. The role leads advanced logistics planning, supports series production, and coordinates customer-facing logistics activities. Serving as the key interface between European customers, Minth Europe plants, logistics providers, and the Global Logistics Centre (GLC) in China, you ensure compliant, stable, and optimized logistics flows from project phase through serial production. You act as the customer-facing point for logistics topics, managing requirements, escalations, and continuous improvement across the European network.

Responsibilities

In this role, you are expected to be responsible for:

  1. Supply Chain, Import & Compliance Management
    • Coordinate procurement, shipment planning, and inbound logistics from China.
    • Manage customs clearance processes, duty/VAT handling, and import documentation.
    • Ensure EU regulatory and commercialization compliance documentation is maintained.
    • Track shipment milestones, resolve delays, and maintain audit-ready import records.
  2. Warehouse, Inventory & Asset Control
    • Manage warehouse operations, inbound receiving, storage, and stock accuracy.
    • Maintain inventory reporting, serial number tracking, and asset traceability.
    • Define safety stock levels, replenishment planning, and inventory allocation.
    • Oversee inspection and handling of inbound, saleable, and demonstration units.
  3. Order Fulfilment & Distribution (B2B and B2C)
    • Manage fulfilment operations for both resellers/distributors (B2B) and direct customers (B2C).
    • Coordinate domestic and cross-border European deliveries.
    • Manage logistics providers, shipping documentation, and delivery performance.
    • Allocate inventory between reseller channels, demonstrations, and direct sales.
  4. Commercial Operations, Cost Control & Partner Coordination
    • Support sales teams with delivery commitments, logistics cost calculations, and availability planning.
    • Monitor logistics, transportation, warehousing, and duty costs and prepare operational reports.
    • Manage performance of forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse providers.
    • Coordinate cross-functionally with finance, compliance, China operations, and European sales teams.
  5. Events, Demonstrations & Operational Scaling
    • Coordinate logistics for demonstrations, exhibitions, launch events, and roadshows.
    • Manage shipment, temporary export/import documentation, and return logistics for demo units.
    • Develop SOPs and scalable processes for European robot distribution growth.
    • Support ERP/WMS process implementation and continuous operational improvement.

Qualifications

Following qualifications and abilities are expected for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Supply Chain/Logistics/Business (or similar).
  • 5+ years’ experience, incl. 3+ years in logistics planning.
  • Strong in international transport (air/sea/rail), EU distribution, warehousing, and B2B/B2C fulfillment.
  • Good knowledge of EU import/export, Incoterms, duty/VAT, and compliance/commercialization.
  • Demand & inventory planning, KPI/cost control using ERP/WMS and advanced Excel tools.
  • Cross-functional coordination and partner management (3PLs, forwarders, brokers, warehouses) across countries.
  • Process/SOP development, logistics optimization & scaling; strong problem-solving, incl. time-critical/event shipments.
  • Familiar with booking, tracking, and carrier/forwarder portals.
  • Business-fluent English; Chinese a strong asset; other European languages a plus.
