Manager Corporate Customs (m/f/d) (several positions)

Tasks

Our department is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of customs regulations and processes across the Lufthansa Group – from analyzing international requirements to designing innovative IT solutions.

• You develop and maintain customs guidelines, standards, and policies for the entire Lufthansa Group
• You monitor and analyze international customs regulations and identify resulting courses of action
• You design and optimize customs-relevant processes for imports and exports
• You build innovative IT solutions for customs classification and material master data
• You conduct customs governance audits and self‑assessments
• You prepare and coordinate reports
• You design and deliver training measures and develop standardized training content
• You develop, maintain, and communicate customs requirements
• You support the implementation of group‑wide environmental requirements related to customs (especially data flows and processes)

Requirements

For the position of Corporate Customs Specialist, you should bring the following qualifications and experience:

• A university degree (Master’s/Diploma)
• In-depth knowledge of customs law (EU and international) as well as customs processing of imports and exports
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent proficiency in working with customs‑related IT systems and ideally experience in process digitalization
• Outstanding communication skills (German/English)
• Team spirit and creativity in solving complex customs issues
• Experience in project management and related stakeholder communication
• Ability to creatively develop your own area of responsibility
• A strong understanding of the needs of business partners within the Group
