YOUR ROLE
- Development of policies and procedures relating to customs regulatory requirements to be followed by the business across the region
- Maintain and deliver training globally and across all functions and business units to relevant stakeholders
- Establish, document and ensure periodic update of general trade compliance processes and procedures
- Lead resolutions for business teams during Import and other Customs Compliance related audits
- Manage third‑party brokers contract and renewal process within the EMEA region
- Manage HTS classification process and provide escalatory support to Classification team
- Implement Versigent's Global Trade Compliance Internal Assessments and manage identified improvements/developments
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage EMEA trade systems and lead implementation of new modules
- Ensure compliance with, and optimization of, all applicable customs special procedures (IPR, OPR, Customs Warehousing, Temporary Import, etc.)
- Lead resolution of issues for Versigent sites on origin determination, qualification under Free Trade Agreements and issuing of long‑term Supplier declarations
- Deliver SME and ensure Versigent participation in Supply Chain Security and Import Compliance Programs (e.g., AEO)
- Ensure appropriate maintenance of customs‑related records in accordance with Versigent and Legal requirements
- Drive EMEA duty savings projects and initiatives using trade data analytics, with close collaboration with GTC leadership team
- Resolve operational compliance emergencies and make compliance decisions on Versigent actions for business leaders
- Conduct analysis on import/export data to identify potential duty mitigation opportunities
- Provide due diligence and M&A support
- Collaborate cross‑functionally (Supply Chain, Logistics, Tax, Finance, Sites, etc.) to support corporate planning initiatives
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Trade, Customs, or related finance/operational roles within an advisory/consultancy firm, or multinational corporation
- Experience in SAP GTS, HTS and ECCN classification assignment preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- English and German fluency required
- French language skills are a plus
