Manager Local Accounting Operations (f/m/d)

For our Finance department in Munich, we are looking for a full-time Accountant (f/m/d) to join us at the earliest possible date. In this role, you will be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and will act as the central interface to our external accounting service provider (third party). You will combine your deep accounting expertise with strong communication and coordination skills in a global environment.

How you will contribute:

• Overall responsibility (without personnel management) for the RTR (Record to Report) process, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Functional leadership and quality assurance of services provided by our external accounting partner
• Ensuring correct accounting treatment of provisions, accruals, intercompany transactions, and the general ledger
• Review and approval of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
• Close collaboration with Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and local business units
• Primary point of contact for internal and external audits (SOX, internal & external audit)
• Continuous optimization of processes, controls, and interfaces (process excellence)
• Clear communication of complex accounting topics to stakeholders at different levels

What we are looking for:

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in RTR accounting, ideally in an international corporate environment
• Very strong understanding of accounting processes and confidence in financial closings
• Experience working with external accounting or shared service providers
• Strong understanding of end-to-end processes and internal controls
• Excellent communication skills, both professional and intercultural
• Confident demeanor when interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Fluent English; German is an advantage
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
