DEEP – Institute for Deep Tech Innovation is ESMT’s innovation hub dedicated to amplifying our ecosystem’s ability to generate and scale science-based businesses. Manager Programs & Events
(m/f/x, full-time, 40h, to start as soon as possible, limited position)
Responsibilities and role purpose
- Co-plan and run (future) DEEP activities, such as incubators, accelerators, entrepreneurship education formats and events, across multiple verticals, including management of communications, schedules, tools & resources, venues, and supplies in close collaboration with domain experts.
- Own project management (such as site processes and timeline planning for CDL-Berlin) and ensure excellence in program operations and stakeholder management both internally and externally.
- Handle operational and administrative tasks, including managing participants and guests, session operations (virtual and on-site), collecting and evaluating feedback, managing program budgets, invoicing, and supply management.
- Act as a strong promoter of all DEEP activities and the overall value proposition for the ecosystem.
What makes you a great fit
- You have successfully driven projects or managed programs, ideally within entrepreneurship environments such as incubators, accelerators, or educational initiatives, and are deeply curious about emerging trends and technologies.
- You have delivered programs and events of different sizes—virtual, in-person, or hybrid—and adapt formats and tasks to the audience.
- You are a super-organizer – action-oriented, resilient under pressure and able to juggle competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- You combine dedication and attention to detail with a passion for planning, pragmatic yet creative problem-solving, and bringing structure to chaos.
- You navigate tools like Airtable and MS Office with ease, and continually look for ways to improve efficiency and quality.
- You are fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
- You are flexible with working hours, understanding that delivering high-quality programs and events often requires staying until the work is thoroughly done.
