Your Role

As our Senior Marketing & Communications Manager, you’ll drive akenos’s marketing strategy, storytelling, and brand positioning. You’ll work closely with our founders and cross-functional teams to increase awareness, strengthen our market presence, and establish akeno as a thought leader in production planning and manufacturing innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Strategy & Narrative: Develop and own akeno’s marketing and communications strategy aligned with our business goals.
• Hands-on Execution: Write, edit, and publish engaging content — from press releases and blog posts to whitepapers, social updates, and presentations.
• Media & Market Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, industry associations, agencies, and event partners.
• Brand Ownership: Define and maintain akeno’s brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
• Campaigns & Awareness: Plan and execute campaigns that increase brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
• Thought Leadership: Position akeno’s founders and experts as recognized voices in production planning and manufacturing innovation.
• Events & PR: Manage conferences, speaking engagements, and public relations opportunities.
• Employer Branding & Internal Comms: Support internal communication initiatives and strengthen our employer brand and culture.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications & Experience:

5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand management, ideally in B2B tech or industrial environments.
Fluent in German & English — both written and spoken.
Hands-on experience with:

• CMS Platforms: WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot, or similar
• Social Media Management Tools: Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, LinkedIn Campaign Manager
• Analytics & Reporting: GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio
• Design Tools: Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Paid Ads: LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Meta Ads (nice to have)

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven ability to design and execute integrated strategies across marketing, comms, and brand.
Exceptional storytelling and writing skills — turning complex topics into compelling narratives.
Experience working with external stakeholders — agencies, journalists, event organizers, and industry partners.
A hands-on mentality — comfortable switching between strategic planning and operational execution.
A collaborative mindset — you thrive in cross-functional environments and enjoy working closely with founders.
