Material Flow Coordinator

As the Material Flow Coordinator, you will be responsible for routing material through the shop to ensure efficiency of the material flow process.

As the Material Flow Coordinator, you will be responsible for routing material through the shop to ensure efficiency of the material flow process.

Responsabilities

• Unload incoming packages, skids, and materials from delivery trucks using a forklift or overhead crane, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
• Manage Incoming Work-in-Process parts (WIP).
• Utilize sw toll to accurately move material between operations (Tool Room, Inspection, Fabrication, Electrical Assembly, & Mechanical Assembly) per the LINK job travelers.
• Organize the shipping lanes of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Physically move materials throughout the shop using the appropriate material handling equipment.
• Make sure all incoming materials are labeled with identification stickers for easy tracking.
• Ensure proper routing of incoming materials to inventory, designated job shelves, or appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, and disposing of trash, packaging materials and wood creating in designated areas.
• Build pallets or skids as needed for storage or shipment purposes.
• Utilize Company vehicles to run errands or pick up (valid Driver’s license required).
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, following 5S and Lean methodologies.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the department and the organization.
• Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
• All other related duties as assigned.

Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• ERP experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Proficient in basic Microsoft excel functions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in using ERP systems or inventory management software.
