Material Management Specialist in Gene Therapy Technical Development (m/w/d) (befristet auf 2 Jahre)

Position

Material Management Specialist in the Gene Therapy Unit of Pharma Technical Cell and Gene Therapy (PTC), responsible for the technical development and clinical production of groundbreaking, viral vector‑based therapies throughout the entire value chain.

Responsibilities

• Central and comprehensive oversight and administration of the operating storage locations for the area of responsibility.
• Ensuring inventory management and data maintenance in data‑processing systems, including ordering and stockpiling of consumables and proper receipt and storage.
• Conducting inventory checks and stock audits.
• Planning and calculation of material requirements using SAP analyses and workbooks.
• Ordering of direct and indirect materials and services via SAP.
• Coordinating external plasmid supplies and shipping of nucleic acids throughout the Roche network.
• Continuous optimization of own work processes.
• Supporting the Nucleic Acid Sciences team with routine laboratory tasks.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in managing operating storage locations and handling order processes for raw and consumables.
• Good knowledge and practical experience with SAP and other data‑processing systems.
• A hands‑on mentality and appreciation for working in operational core business.
• Strong teamwork and commitment; enjoys collaborating with colleagues to solve tasks, develop innovative solutions, celebrate successes and test new technologies.
• Motivation and initiative; self‑initiative and high performance motivation.
• Willingness to learn; ready to acquire specialized knowledge.
• Reliability; proactive, independent, meticulous and reliable.
• English language skills are an advantage.
