Mechanical Commissioning Manager (Contract) Hyperscale Data Centre Frankfurt

We are supporting a leading Data Centre client on a large hyperscale data centre development in Frankfurt and are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Commissioning Manager to join on a long-term contract basis. (12 Month minimum)

This role will take ownership of mechanical commissioning delivery across a complex, high-availability environment. The successful candidate will drive commissioning strategy, oversee system validation, and ensure seamless integration and handover of mechanical infrastructure in line with programme milestones.

This is a site-based contract role suited to professionals experienced in fast-track data centre builds.

Scope of Responsibilities Take full responsibility for mechanical commissioning execution on site Lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams and specialist vendors Develop and implement commissioning processes, inspection regimes, and validation procedures Coordinate with construction and engineering teams to ensure system readiness Manage commissioning sequencing in line with project schedule Oversee testing of HVAC, chilled water, cooling plant, and associated mechanical systems Ensure documentation, QA compliance, and structured handover to client teams Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning phases Interface directly with client representatives and senior stakeholders

Required Background Extensive experience delivering mechanical commissioning on large-scale construction projects Proven hyperscale or mission-critical data centre experience Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, HVAC infrastructure, and redundancy-driven environments Experience leading commissioning teams on fast-track programmes Ability to manage commissioning documentation and reporting at senior level Eligible to work within the EU / Germany

Contract Details Long-term contract engagement 17/4 rotation Accommodation, travel and vehicle provided or option of increased hourly rate if local Competitive contract rate available
