Your Role

The Media & Communications Specialist sits at the intersection of communications, external visibility and public relations. This role helps translate Elucid’s expertise, field insights and programme data into clear and compelling narratives that strengthen the organisation’s voice in conversations about sustainable supply chains and farmer health. The role focuses on thought‑leadership building content, strategic event communications and external outreach, ensuring that Elucid’s message reaches the right audiences in a structured and strategic way.

You will be responsible for producing long‑form written content such as blog articles, essays, opinion pieces, research‑driven articles, white papers and narrative case studies. You will also support Elucid’s visibility through press releases, interviews, podcasts, sector publications and industry events. The role operationalises the communication strategy defined by the Head of Communications and works closely with the Creative & Brand function to ensure strong alignment between narrative, messaging and visual storytelling.

What You Will Do

Thought Leadership & Long‑Form Content

• Develop long‑form written content (blog articles, essays, opinion pieces and research‑driven articles) that positions Elucid as a thought‑leader on farmer health in global supply chains and links our work to broader sector debates.
• Translate country and sector insights, interviews and internal inputs into clear, structured and engaging publications (white papers, reports and analytical publications).
• Develop narrative case studies and in‑depth impact stories around programmes, partnerships and field experiences.
• Turn complex data and technical information into communication that is accessible and understandable.

External Visibility & Media Outreach

• Shape press releases and media narratives; coordinate interviews and press briefings.
• Manage and grow relationships with magazines, podcasts and other external media partners.
• Identify strategic moments to bring Elucid’s perspective into public debates and sector conversations.
• Monitor the landscape and proactively flag opportunities for visibility.
• Contribute to award submissions and speaking opportunities that increase Elucid’s visibility in the supply chain and health space.

Events & Industry Engagement

• Lead communications planning for events, from concept to post‑event content.
• Support event organisation and coordination where required.
• Ensure event messaging is coherent, timely and aligned with broader communications.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with 2–3 years of experience who is motivated to take ownership and grow within a fast‑moving organisation. You are:

• A strong writer and storyteller – you write clearly, structure information well and know how to turn complex inputs into engaging narratives. Your writing is analytical and thoughtfully tailored to the audience.
• Comfortable with data and research‑based topics – you enjoy reading impact reports, understanding evidence and working with technical information. You translate data and insights into communication that is understandable and relevant.
• Curious and analytical – you are interested in sustainability, health, supply chains and development topics, enjoy researching topics and building well‑informed narratives.
• Strong external communicator – you are comfortable representing an organisation in conversations with journalists, partners or event participants.
• Organised and reliable – you can manage several communication streams at once and coordinate inputs across teams.

Ideal Background

• 2–3 years of experience in communications, content, PR, events, journalism or a related field.
• Experience or interest in sustainability, global health, supply chains, development or B2B.
• Strong writing and editing skills (clear, structured, analytical).
• Ability to research topics and develop qualitative narratives.
• Comfort working with data, evidence and technical inputs.
• Experience with long‑form writing is a must.
• Basic design skills are a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; French or Spanish is an asset.
