Mill-Turn Setter

Key Tasks

• Setup, programming and operation of mill-turn centers (Index, Nakamura; Fanuc/Siemens controls)
• Training and instruction of machine operators
• Support department management in achieving defined targets
• Ensure high machine availability through proper setup
• Responsibility for product and process quality
• Create and adjust CNC programs based on technical drawings
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Independent setup and tooling of CNC machines
• Prepare tools, fixtures and measuring equipment
• Create and optimize setup plans
• Optimize and document production processes
• Select, procure and test tools and equipment
• Plan and procure production equipment in cooperation with departments

Requirements – Education / Skills

• Completed vocational training in metalworking (e.g. machinist)
• Several years of experience in CNC setup and programming
• Strong CNC knowledge, especially Fanuc
