Multilingual Local Assistant – Berlin (Freelance)

Our helpers provide practical, human support in their language — helping people feel confident as they settle into life in Germany.

Role Description

This is a freelance / self-employed opportunity for a Multilingual Local Support Helper based in Berlin.

Helpers accept bookings based on their availability and accompany newcomers to appointments such as:

• Bank appointments
• Phone calls in German
• Apartment viewings
• Insurance and contract-related appointments

This is a flexible side income. There are no fixed hours and no minimum commitment.

Qualifications

• Confident German communication skills (minimum B2 recommended)
• Fluency in at least one additional language
• Reliable, professional, and empathetic communication
• Familiarity with Berlin’s administrative processes
• Eligibility to work in Germany as self-employed
• Previous experience in customer service, community support, or assistance roles is a plus.
