Navigation & Sensors Development Engineer
Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Navigation System Engineer to support our team in the Navigation Department in Manching. The role is part of a team developing Eurodrone, FCAS, Tornado and future (R&T) military programmes, where you will be involved in design and analysis activities to manage the interface between systems and support the overall aircraft design.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- Definition of requirement and technical specifications (FRD, SRD, SID, HMI)
- Develop navigation functions using model-based development tools
- Perform integration, validation and verification of the designed systems; prepare test procedures, perform and/or monitor tests, and analyze test results and reports
- Support procurement activities (Purchase Technical Specifications or supplier management)
- Support qualification and certification activities
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a similar field
- Knowledge and prior experience in navigation systems, sensors or other avionic systems
- Experience in requirements management (DOORS)
- Experience with digital ICD design tools (e.g. CAMEO, ICDMS, 3Dx or others)
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink is a plus
- Beneficial: experience implementing regulations and standards such as DO178/278, 254, ARP4754, etc.
- Beneficial: theoretical and practical knowledge in satellite navigation systems, augmentation systems, navigation and user algorithms, positioning algorithms, parameter estimation problems, integrity concepts, Kalman filter, Galileo constellation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent team player willing to work in international environments
