Non Executive Directors

The client is expanding its Board and seeking to recruit new Non-Executive Directors. This significant transition comes as the client gears up to chart its strategic development path for the coming years, including a fresh Strategic Plan set to be crafted in 2026 alongside an incoming CEO. Established in 1971, this youth work organization operates in Kerry, the Beara Peninsula, and North West Cork's Duhallow region. Originally founded as Kerry Diocesan Youth Service, the organization underwent comprehensive consultations with young people and stakeholders and rebranded in 2024 to its current name. Driven by a mission to support the holistic development of young people in a safe environment, the client emphasizes its strategic vision through targeted supports, excellence in youth work, and strengthening governance and coordination. As the client remains compliant with charity regulations and has achieved notable recognitions such as the Triple Lock status, they aim to persist in enhancing their governance. They are particularly interested in candidates with skills or experience in human resources, legal affairs, fundraising, social enterprise, youth work, marketing, PR, and charity governance. New board members will also have responsibilities, which may include chairing or participating in subcommittees. The preference is for candidates with significant local knowledge, prior board experience, and a background in the voluntary sector. The client prioritizes gender balance on the Board and is keen on integrating the perspectives of young people, calling for board members who are collaborative with the Youth Advisory Group.
