Ocean Product Development Manager EMEA

JBAndrews is partnered with a leading global freight forwarding organisation (confidential) as they strengthen their ocean freight product offering across the EMEA region. We are searching for an experienced Ocean Product Development Manager to drive innovation, build competitive solutions, and support strategic growth from their hub in Hamburg .

This is a high‑visibility regional position ideal for someone who knows the ocean freight market inside out and thrives on shaping product strategy.

The Role

As the Ocean Product Development Manager – EMEA , you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and launching ocean freight products that meet evolving customer and market needs across the region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing market‑competitive ocean freight products for EMEA.
• Analysing trade lanes, capacity, pricing trends, and customer requirements.
• Working closely with carriers, procurement, and operational teams to build strong commercial solutions.
• Supporting sales with product expertise, customer bids, and strategic opportunities.
• Monitoring product performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring global product alignment while tailoring offerings for regional markets.
• Leading product launches and providing training across commercial teams.

About You

You will bring strong expertise in ocean freight and a commercial, solution‑focused mindset.

Ideal experience includes:

• 5+ years in ocean freight product management, trade lane management, or ocean procurement.
• Strong understanding of carrier relationships, pricing, and capacity management.
• Experience working for a freight forwarder or NVOCC.
• Ability to analyse market trends and translate insights into actionable product solutions.
• Commercial mindset and comfort working with sales, customers, and senior leadership.
• Fluent English; German is a plus but not essential.
• Based in or able to relocate to Hamburg.
