Stellenbeschreibung:

Oliver Wyman – Private Capital Practice – Associate / Engagement Manager

At Oliver Wyman, a Marsh (NYSE: MRSH) business, we bring deep industry insight, bold innovation, and a collaborative approach that cuts through complexity to help organizations navigate their most defining transformative moments.

Who We Are

As a business of Marsh, we work alongside the world’s leading experts across risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting. Together with Marsh Risk, Guy Carpenter, and Mercer, we help organizations build resilience and competitive advantages from every angle. With annual revenue of $27 billion and more than 95,000 colleagues in 130 countries, Marsh helps build the confidence to thrive through the power of perspective.

The Practice

Oliver Wyman is looking to appoint experienced consultants to support its continued expansion in the Private Capital team, a strategic priority for the firm. The team serves investor and strategic clients throughout the transaction lifecycle: from opportunity identification through due diligence, M&A execution and on to post‑transaction value realization. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful team.

The Role And Responsibilities

Associates will effectively break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identify key aspects of a problem, and direct the focus of junior consultants while project managing with the support of a senior team. They will plan and execute analysis, craft suitable recommendations, and work side by side with clients to move projects forward and manage small teams. Engagement managers are the on‑scene leaders who run our projects day to day, leading the team through an efficient problem‑solving process, ensuring recommendations are correct, practical, and relevant, and demonstrating strategic thought leadership.

Your Attributes and Experience

  • 3‑8 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top‑tier strategy consulting firm or similar organization.
  • Knowledge within Corporate Finance and Due Diligence.
  • Experience across industries within Corporate, Finance and Advisory.
  • A strong background in strategic problem‑solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Take initiative and seek opportunities to learn new skills.
  • Creativity to develop novel ideas for complex problems.
  • Aptitude for analytical work, such as sniffing out clues in massive data sets.
  • Willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with the team.

Values and Culture

Be Brave: we stand behind our beliefs while exploring what drives them and persevere through difficulty.

Lead with Heart: we build relationships with clients and colleagues that last, grounded in transparency, authenticity, and trust.

Strive for Breakthroughs: we bring deep expertise and curiosity to pursue ambitious ideas and insights.

Work as One: we succeed as a unified team of colleagues and clients.

Own our Impact: we act as entrepreneurs and stewards of the firm, owning our journey with integrity.

Equal Opportunity

Oliver Wyman is an equal opportunity employer. Our commitment to diversity is genuine, deep, and growing.

Marsh is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and flexible work environment. We aim to attract and retain the best people and embrace diversity of age, background, disability, ethnic origin, family duties, gender orientation or expression, marital status, nationality, parental status, personal or social status, political affiliation, race, religion and beliefs, sex/gender, sexual orientation or expression, skin color, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
