Stellenbeschreibung:

Overview

Do you aim to have a dynamic impact on the world? Are you up for creating solutions and solving tomorrow's problems today? We are looking to hire an ICQA Operations Manager to take ownership of our fulfillment centers' Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team. Our fulfillment centers (FC) are at the heart of Amazon's rapidly growing operations network: they manage our fast-moving stock, each FC's teams stow deliveries, pick products, package them up, and ship them out. These environments are fast-paced with high rewards where adherence to policies and procedures is key. We need a leader who ensures we deliver as reliably as ever to our customers while safeguarding customer obsession.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of ICQA Area Managers and hourly Associates (including Team Leads and Data Analysts) assigned to inventory control, quality assurance, and problem-solving within the fulfillment center.
  • Partner with Operations and other Support teams to influence and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs and SOX regulations.
  • Analyze inventory defects, problem-solve issues or customer defects data, and identify actions to improve quality.
  • Conduct short-term (weekly) and mid-term (monthly/quarterly) labor plans, forecasting capacity needs, staffing plans, and schedules.
  • Support interviewing and training of fulfillment center Area Managers.

A day in the life

You will lead a department responsible for inventory control, quality assurance, and problem-solving operations. Your day typically starts with a meeting with the fulfillment center's leadership team to review previous day performance and address ongoing issues. You will review inventory discrepancies and quality performance, analyze data for trends and opportunities for process improvement, and collaborate with your team and partners in FC operations or central teams (Catalogue, Procurement, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Loss Prevention, and Program Management). You will spend time on the floor observing processes and ensuring safety standards are maintained. You will also develop your Area Managers, provide feedback, and identify training needs. You will finish the day contributing to inventory accuracy, resolving quality challenges, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and accurate fulfillment operations.

About the team

The EU ICQA mission is to prevent and remove customer-facing defects to provide world-class service at the lowest possible cost. The Vision of ICQA is to exceed customer expectations—buyers and sellers. We drive defect-free order fulfillment by operating efficiently and accurately through quality standards across FC processes (receive, stow, count, pick, pack, ship) up to our sellers and customers. We lead with empathy to create a safer, more productive, higher-performing, and more diverse work environment. We empower and support our team members to grow and achieve their aspirations.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience driving project collaboration across teams, businesses, and stakeholders
  • Track record of implementing process improvements in data-driven, complex environments
  • Proficient verbal and written communications in German and English
  • Previous supervisory experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment with quality assurance processes
  • Strong commitment to employee development and motivation in team management
  • Proven ability to influence peers or stakeholders with varying seniority
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles, familiarity with SOX compliance and inventory control systems
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software
