Organic Chemist (Bioconjugation Process Development)

We are currently supporting a pharmaceutical development environment in the search for an Organic Chemist to join a Bioconjugation Process Development team.

This role focuses on developing and scaling robust conjugation processes for complex bioconjugates, including ADCs and related linker technologies. The position supports the transition from laboratory development to GMP manufacturing and requires strong collaboration across analytical, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize bioconjugation processes
• Scale processes from lab to pilot/manufacturing scale
• Define critical process parameters and control strategies
• Support technology transfer to GMP manufacturing
• Troubleshoot deviations and support manufacturing activities
• Prepare technical documentation and ensure GMP compliance

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or related field
• Industry experience in process chemistry or bioconjugation
• Hands-on experience with conjugation chemistries (e.g., ADCs)
• Strong analytical interpretation skills (LC-MS, HPLC, NMR)
• Experience supporting scale-up and tech transfer
• Fluent German and English required
