Parametric Modeler

What you will do

• Develop parametric models based on requirements such as design language and renderings
• Design and develop algorithms and scripts with Grasshopper 3D to develop and explore novel forms in the automotive sector
• Create high quality, accurate 3D models that reflect design intent
• Advise and suggest solutions to overcome design or engineering issues
• Maintain a close synergy between design, modeling and engineering
• Consider engineering and design requirements as well as legal regulations in an independent and targeted way
• Compile data from other team members to serve engineering needs or milling activities
• Work with both design and engineering using project management skills to manage input and output
• Preparing CAS presentations to a predefined standard
• Ensure the surface quality correlates with the AVATR requirements for the relevant project phase

What you will bring

• Degree or equivalent in Automotive/Industrial Design or Engineering
• Language: Fluent in English - other languages are a plus
• 3+ years of work experience in a global automotive context, preferably OEM
• Proficient knowledge in CATIA Imagine & Shape, Autodesk Alias/SubD/Maya, Grasshopper
• Generative & topological design experience
• Knowledge in C#/Python/C++ is a plus, knowledge of Vred or any other rendering/VR software is a plus
• Robust technical understanding and ability to read complex package plans
• High proficiency in modelling and delivery of highest surface quality
• Basic Project Management skills
• Self-confidence and professional manner when collaborating with colleagues and partners
• Proactive and self-motivated, able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced and international environment
