You’ll work closely with internal teams, supervisors, contractors and suppliers to ensure the efficient performance of site assets, whilst supporting maintenance, inspections, and compliance activities.You will be responsible for routine checks, fault diagnosis, and supporting small maintenance tasks to maximise plant performance. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and housekeeping.**Internal & External Working Relationships****Internal:** NCH & OCH Managers, Site Supervisors, Operatives, Technical Teams**External:** Suppliers, Contractors, Inspectors**Key Responsibilities*** Safely operate plant equipment to deliver required product quality and output.* Conduct daily, weekly and monthly primary crusher checks.* Complete general cleaning duties and manage plant spillages effectively.* Carry out inspections and small maintenance tasks as directed.* Visually inspect plant processes at regular intervals, identifying and rectifying issues or escalating when needed.* Report defects and assist maintenance teams during breakdowns and repairs.* Manage shell bolts on the Primary Crusher.* Support maintenance and water management activities.* Promote safe, efficient and compliant use of all site resources.* Participate in risk assessments and method statements for all tasks.* Maintain high standards of housekeeping, working to 5S principles.* Ensure route assets are kept clean, safe and in good working order.* Diagnose faults and support the operation of the PPM scheme.* Maximise plant performance and availability.* Undertake other duties within capability as required by the Quarry Manager or Supervisors.* Fully comply with SHE and Quality Policies and Procedures.**Role Requirements*** Experience in process operations (desirable).* Understanding of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.* Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.* Basic practical and technical skills.* Experience with mobile and/or static plant equipment.**Education & Qualifications*** NVQ in Mobile or Static Plant Operation – *Desirable** QCF Level 4 or above (or equivalent) – *Desirable** Geotechnical experience* Experience working in a similar environment or role**Personal Attributes*** Strong verbal and written communication skills* Reliable and punctual* Team-focused and supportive* High attention to detail* Hardworking and able to meet deadlines* Flexible, proactive and able to use initiative* Numerate and literate* Willingness to work flexible hoursThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected and supportive team within a major quarrying operation.
