Payload Architect for Analog & Digital Payloads (m/w/d)

Stellenbeschreibung:

As a Payload Architect for Analog & Digital Telecom Payloads, you will be responsible for the definition, development and lifecycle ownership of telecom payloads for LEO, MEO and GEO satellite missions.

You will work at the intersection of RF engineering, payload architecture and systems engineering, contributing from early mission phases through in-orbit operations.

Your Responsibilitie

  • sTechnical support in the creation of offers within the Telekom departmen
  • tPerform link budget analyses (utilizing OHB in-house tools) to determine system capacity i.e. overall aggregated data rate
  • sElaboration and development of your own payload approaches for a telecom missio
  • nDevelopment of analogue and digital payloads based on customer-specificatio
  • nCarrying out and supporting all unit reviews of the telecom payloa
  • dCreation of all documentation in the course of a satellite project of phase 0, A, B, C/D and phase
  • ESupport of all subsystems related to payload interfaces (e.g. Harness, SRDB, MIB
  • )Preparation and execution of customer payload PDRs and CDR
  • sPreparation, implementation and support of environmental tests in TVAC and CAT
  • RCalculation, preparation and execution of payload auto compatibility measurement
  • sPlanning and execution of payload IOT (In Orbit Test) RF test
  • sCreation, testing and implementation of payload RF setting
  • sContact person for the payload during the satellite's lifetim

Your Profi

  • leMaster’s degree in RF Engineering, Communication Engineering, Antenna Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivale
  • ntExperience in analog and digital telecom payload developme
  • ntInitial experience with digital payloads and digital beamforming is highly valu
  • edKnowledge of current standards (e.g. DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-RCS) and interest in future standards such as 5G /
  • 6GSolid understanding of high-frequency technologies (TWTs, LNAs, filters, converters from P-band up to Q/V-ban
  • d)Skills in digital communications engineering, modern SDR technologies and digital antenna beamformi
  • ngExperience in optical communications technology (e.g. ISL terminals) is a pl
  • usBackground in systems engineering is desirab
  • leStrong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary tea
