Your mission
Ensure all incoming assembled PCBAs from external manufacturers meet IPC‑A‑610 Class 3, customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards before release to production through rigorous visual, mechanical, and functional inspection.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming visual and microscopic inspection of PCBAs according to IPC‑A‑610 Class 3 standards.
- Verify solder joint quality and detect defects (e.g., bridges, cold joints, tombstoning, lifted leads, missing/misaligned components, polarity errors).
- Check component placement, orientation, alignment, and BOM/drawing compliance.
- Inspect conformal coating for proper coverage, adhesion, masking, and absence of defects.
- Ensure assembly cleanliness and absence of contamination, flux residue, or handling damage.
- Inspect mechanical quality (depanelization, edge finish, holes, warpage, mounting features, board damage).
- Execute standardized electrical functional validation using oscilloscopes, DMMs, and test fixtures.
- Review and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, and inspection criteria.
- Record inspection results and non‑conformances in quality systems and communicate findings cross‑functionally.
