PhD Candidate and Research Assistant (f/m/x) Wiss | Professorship in Entrepreneurship and Management | Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences

The Chair of Entrepreneurship and Management focuses on empirical research in the fields of entrepreneurship, strategic management, and international management. Our teaching covers startup-specific topics, management and leadership skills, and entrepreneurial thinking and action—both within and beyond the field of economics.

YOUR TASKS

• Research in entrepreneurship and management, including participation in and independent advancement of (empirical) research and publication projects in co-author teams.
• Teaching, including independent instruction of classes and conceptual development of entrepreneurship instruction for the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences.
• The opportunity to obtain an academic qualification (doctorate) is provided and expected.

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in economics, business administration, business informatics, or organizational/business psychology (or comparable programmes) with distinction.
• Interest in and experience with current entrepreneurship and management research (e.g., entrepreneurship and well‑being, hybrid entrepreneurship, environmental innovations, strategic and international alliances).
• Willingness to design and deliver courses (seminars and lectures) and supervise theses.
• Strong interest in empirical research; knowledge of quantitative empirical methods and data analysis (e.g., Stata or SPSS) is highly desirable.
• Independent and self‑reliant approach to work, high level of resilience, stamina and motivation.
• Flexibility, ability to work in a team, curiosity and willingness to learn.
• Very good written and spoken English skills.
