Tätigkeiten

• Collection and breeding of springtails


• Evaluation of moulting cycles, collection of cuticles and preparation of springtails for electron microscopy


• Preparation of springtails/tissues for transcriptomic and proteomic analysis (support for collaboration with BCube and Senckenberg Institute)


• ToF SIMS of springtail cuticles (comparison of chemical fingerprints of different species and different areas on the cuticle)


• LC MS/MS (indentification and isolation

Anforderungen

• Completed degree (MSc. or Dipl.) in physics (prefered) or chemistry


• Experience or strong affinity to (bio)physics and interest in experimental and theoretical work in the field of biomolecular condensation processes like Turing-patterning and Liquid-Liquid Phase Separation


• The project involves experimental work like spectroscopy, chromatography and microscopy, but a biophysical and theoretical background will be preferred


• Experience with simulation work for modelling and in silico testing molecular interactions is very welcome


• Very good command of English, both spoken and written
