Planungsingenieur für Eisenbahnanlagen

Key Information

• Location: Dresden
• Weekly working hours: 40 h
• Travel requirement: minimal
• Language requirement: German (minimum C1)
• Prerequisites: Master/Dipl.-Ing. in Traffic Engineering, Transport Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable field

Responsibilities

• Assess project tasks and create initial concepts for interlockings, signalling systems, ETCS, level crossings, etc.
• Survey existing installations onsite and verify your concept.
• Develop alternatives from the concept, present them to the client, and propose a preferred alternative.
• Enhance the preferred alternative into a draft design describing the technical solution and including cost estimation.
• Identify parties affected by the construction project, obtain their consent, and submit the design for approval to the Federal Railway Authority.
• Expand the draft into an execution‑ready plan and have it reviewed by independent evaluators.
• Create a list of performance specifications and support the client in tendering the construction works.
• After commissioning the systems you planned, create the final drawings which are archived by the client.

Qualifications

• Master or Diploma degree in Traffic Engineering, Transport Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable.
• Openness to learning new things.
• Team work orientation and interest in how work in various departments combines into something great.
• Willingness to take responsibility for your work.
• Ability to independently organize tasks.

Optional (Not required)

• Interest in rail and train traffic.
• Practical knowledge and experience in engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
