As aPlatformDatabase Engineer withafocuson PostgreSQL ,youwillberesponsiblefordesigning,operating, andevolvingourrelationaldatabaseplatform.Youwillplayakeyroleinmodernizingexistingdatabaselandscapes,consolidatinglegacysystems, andsupportingproductteamswithreliable, high-performance PostgreSQL-basedsolutions.

Job Description

Design,implement, andoperatePostgreSQL-baseddatabasesolutionsaspartofthecentralplatforminmulti-tenantscenarios.

TaketechnicalownershipofPostgreSQLschemadesign,performancetuning, and operationalstability.

Plan andexecutemigrationsfromlegacyorheterogeneousdatabasesystemstoPostgreSQL.

Collaboratecloselywithbackendengineeringteamstointegratedatabasesolutionsintobackendservices.

Ensurehighavailability,backupandrecovery, andpredictableperformanceofPostgreSQLsystems.

Contributetoplatformarchitecturedecisionsandlong-termdatastrategy.

Support andenableproductteamsthroughreviews,guidance, andhands-oncollaboration.

Qualifications

Stronghands-onexperiencewithrelationaldatabases,ideallyPostgreSQL.

Deepunderstandingofdatamodeling,indexingstrategies, andqueryoptimization.

Experiencewithdatabasemigrationandmodernizationprojects.

Hands-onexperienceoperatingPostgreSQL incloudenvironments,preferablyon AWS (RDS, Aurora).

Proficiencyin at leastoneprogramminglanguageusedin backenddevelopment.

Abilitytobalancehands-onengineeringwitharchitecturalthinking.

Availabilitytoworkwithsignificantoverlaptobusinesshoursin Germany (CET/CEST).

FluentEnglishskillsarerequired; Germanlanguageskills(spoken andwritten)areanadvantage.
