Postdoctoral Position for a Cell Biology Research Project
(m/f/d)
Workplace: Hospital of the University of Munich, Germany
Working hours: Full time
Date of entry: At the earliest possible date
Our research projects focus on the molecular pathomechanisms that lead to impaired wound healing and tissue regeneration following exposure of the skin to the chemical warfare agent sulfur mustard (SM). Own recent studies demonstrate a key role of endogenous microRNAs in the pathophysiology of SM‑induced skin damage.
The aim of this project funded by the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) is to investigate the role of extracellular vesicles, such as exosomes, which are released by cells and subsequently re‑taken up, with regard to the microRNAs they transport for communication and therapy of skin cells. To this end, cell biological and molecular analyses on primary cells, such as human primary keratinocytes and mesenchymal stem cells, are planned.
Our laboratory is equipped with a comprehensive range of methodological and technical resources for this purpose, including an in vivo cell analyzer (Sartorius Incucyte S3) and a flow cytometer (Miltenyi MACSQuant 16).
Disabled persons will be preferentially considered in case of equal qualification.
