Power Electronics Engineer – DCDC / High Frequency / High Density

Overview

We are looking for a Power Electronics Engineer (Senior/Principal ) to join a world leading technology company at their R&D labs in Nuremberg .

Responsibilities

• Evaluate & optimize converter topologies based on design requirements.
• Build simulation models to assess system losses & performance.
• Innovate new architectures, magnetic designs, & control methods; contribute to patents.
• Develop advanced control & modulation strategies for DC-DC converters.
• Provide technical reports on topologies, control systems, & magnetic components.
• Conduct feasibility studies of next-generation converter concepts.
• Collaborate with European universities & industry partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong background in designing efficient, compact DC-DC converters for high frequency & high density applications
• Knowledge of both isolated & non-isolated topologies
• Hands-on experience with fast-switching semiconductor devices (Si, GaN), including gate-driver design & performance analysis
• Proven record of presenting research or representing teams at conferences/workshops.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written)
• Experience in converters for computing applications (telecom, datacenters HPC, processors, ASICs) is advantageous
