Power Trader

Vitus Commodities trades actively in electricity and natural gas contracts in Europe. We are looking for candidates to fill the position of Power Trader for our expanding team. As a Power Trader, you will be responsible for actively trading in the European energy markets and strategically optimizing our portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in European short term power trading.
• Strong educational background in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in the energy power sector.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• In-depth knowledge of the energy industry, power market structures, and risk management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective trading strategies for the European short term power markets.
• Conduct short term trading for energy purchases and sales.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts to develop trading signals and automated trading strategies.
• Monitor market conditions, analyze trends, and make informed trading decisions.
• Maintain strong relationships with international trading partners and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
