Pre Sales & Solutions Engineer (SaaS & Utilities)

Wenham Carter is supporting a rapidly scaling, well-funded leader in the Industrial Software (OT) space. Headquartered in the Munich area, we are transforming how the Energy and Utility sectors manage their most critical assets through advanced EAM and Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions.

We are looking for a technically astute Sales Engineer to act as the bridge between complex engineering challenges and commercial success. This is not a "standard" IT software sell, this is about deep-level operational technology for the people who keep the lights on.

The Role

As a technical advisor, you will lead the charge in the DACH region and across Europe, positioning my client as a trusted partner to utility giants. You won’t just be demoing software; you’ll be solving reliability and efficiency problems for asset-intensive organizations.

• Technical Advisory: Support the full sales cycle by delivering high-quality demos, workshops, and PoCs.
• Solution Design: Translate complex customer requirements in Power System Relay Protection and Asset Lifecycle Management into tailored proposals.
• Strategic Impact: Collaborate directly with the CSMO to define technical strategies for new market entry.
• High Visibility: Engage with both technical leads and C-suite stakeholders at major European utilities.

Who You Are

We are looking for a "Technical Consultant" mindset—someone who understands the operational heartbeat of a utility company.

• Industry Expertise: Proven background in Pre-Sales or Technical Sales specifically within Asset-Intensive industries (Utilities, Energy, or Heavy Industry).
• The "Operations" Focus: You understand APM and EAM . While this is software, your focus is on the operational side of the business, not general IT.
• Language Mastery: To navigate high-level negotiations and technical workshops in the DACH region, Native-level German fluency and professional English are essential.
• Educational Foundation: A degree in Electrical Engineering , Computer Science, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: You thrive in fast-paced, "scale-up" environments where you can help shape the processes.
