Principal Software Engineer (f/m/d)

As a Principal Software Engineer , you will play a key role in shaping the architecture and technical strategy behind high-performance, mission-critical platforms. This position combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership , focusing on building resilient systems capable of handling large-scale transactional workloads.

Your Role as a Principal Software Engineer:

• Contribute directly to production systems through hands-on backend development.
• Design and evolve distributed systems handling high-volume financial data & transactions.
• Define and drive technical strategy across multiple teams and services.
• Lead architecture decisions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Mentor senior engineers and support the growth of future technical leaders.
• Ensure systems meet high standards around performance, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

What we're looking for:

• Extensive experience in software engineering (10–15+ years).
• Strong background building distributed backend systems in high-reliability or regulated environments.
• Experience working with financial systems, transactional platforms, or critical data workloads (highly beneficial).
• Proven ability to lead architecture across multiple teams or domains.
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Experience operating in complex, fast-moving environments with ambiguity.
