Principle Engineer - Hearing Assistance Technology

Huawei's Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

Audiovisual Technology Lab in Huawei Munich Research Center is developing innovative technologies in the field of acquisition, encoding and decoding, processing and presentation for the media field, including audio, video, image and graphics. You will contribute to these activities being inserted into an international and experienced team of researchers.

Principle Engineer - Hearing Assistance Technology (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Conduct research and development in hearing health technologies, including but not limited to relevant algorithms, architectures and systems for various applications to enhance hearing health of customer devices.
• Collaborate with international teams to implement solutions into existing and new products.
• Follow industry trends in related technologies, identify and evaluate new solutions and technologies to be demonstrated to internal stakeholders.
• Foster innovation by building and coordinating projects, internal/external collaborations and strategic partnerships.

Your areas of expertise

• PhD or MSc in hearing health related fields, with a minimum of three years’ industry experience.
• Knowledge and hands‑on experience of hearing health technologies research, development and delivery.
• Strong problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to translate user needs into design decisions.
• Experience in project management and acting as an interface between industry and academia is a plus.
• Independent and well‑structured working style with a hands‑on, can‑do attitude.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
