Process Manager - Manufacturing Execution, Focus Track & Trace

Join Process Manager - Manufacturing Execution, Focus Track & Trace at Boehringer Ingelheim . The role is based in Ingelheim with a 50% on‑site presence requirement, ensuring close collaboration with the team and alignment with project goals.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Define the level of standardization for global Manufacturing Execution Processes (according to ISA 95) in coordination with the Global Process Owner (GPO).
• Lead Track & Trace and anti‑counterfeiting initiatives, ensuring serialization/aggregation and label management are standardized across operations.
• Identify improvement opportunities with IT specialists, maintain validation and software lifecycle documents, and propose solutions for state‑of‑the‑art processes and systems.
• Ensure GxP compliance and validate processes and applications, including testing and training.
• Govern performance, continuity, and sustainability of processes within the area of responsibility.
• Empower global process implementation and act as a team member in global deployment projects, managing dedicated project tasks.
• Work with a cross‑functional project team to implement MES processes for Animal Health and Human Pharma production.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree, Diploma, or ideally PhD in Natural Science, Pharmacy, Process Engineering or Business Informatics, with several years of relevant professional experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical production or supporting areas (e.g., manufacturing, quality assurance in production).
• Profound experience in business process design and implementation of highly integrated and standardized solutions.
• Deep expertise with MES (e.g., PAS‑X) and knowledge of GxP regulatory requirements.
• Experience with cross‑functional operational process implementation, including process integration with SAP, EWM, MES (PAS‑X), or other systems.
• Dedicated team player with structured problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent communication skills in English and German.
• Willingness to work flexibly and travel (approximately 25%) to support sites in different time zones.
