Procurement Team Lead (m/f/x) – Grob Aircraft Product Portfolio (EN)

At Grob Aircraft, we design, build, and support aircraft that train the next generation of military pilots worldwide. Our G 120TP – a turboprop trainer trusted by air forces across the globe – along with our established fleet and aircraft programs form the foundation of everything we do. To keep these programs running at full performance, we need a strong procurement leader who ensures the right parts reach the right place at the right time.

Your Role

As Teamlead Procurement, you take ownership of the operational purchasing function across our existing aircraft programs – from series production and fleet support to MRO and indirect materials.

Responsibilities

• Team Coordination: Prioritize and steer three buyer functions (Production Material, MRO, Non-Production Material); ensure clear supplier accountability.
• Material Availability: Guarantee reliable supply for series production, fleet operations, maintenance (MRO), and indirect procurement needs across all active aircraft programs.
• Hands-on Procurement: Manage your own purchasing scope end-to-end – from RFQ to delivery monitoring.
• Supplier Management: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and framework agreements with key suppliers.
• Reporting and Escalation: Report directly to the Head of Procurement; escalate critical supply risks proactively.
• Authorities
• Professional authority over PM, MRO, and NPM buyers.
• Purchase order approval within defined limits; escalation path to Head of Procurement.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in technical, project-driven procurement – ideally within the aerospace or aviation industry.
• Confident in leadership, decision-making, and risk assessment, with the ability to navigate complex material and supplier situations.
• You create structure, speed, and clear accountability across both value streams (series production and MRO).
• Strong negotiation skills paired with a hands-on mentality – you roll up your sleeves when it matters.
• Fluent in German and English (>C1 business-level negotiation proficiency required).
